Jhilmil stars

Then were days lost in solitary shores,
you fill with redolence of flowers galore

through all the rights and all beyond
you are my diary, my favorite song,

either rapt in laughs, or mowed in lobs,
you are my stir, for a thousand blogs.

tiffs and turns cant slim the spark,
you are my breath in the depth of dark.

through wisps of time, as we sail this space,
you are my home to a peaceful place.

five months seem a little too far,
as we wait for the night with jhilmil stars.

Celebrations !

I am celebrating technology,
myriad comforts of life,
i have all the apps in the world,
and lonely sleepless nights.

there was a day, when we cycled to school,
racing crazy on roads, we knew no rules,
now i own a car, a music system from X-plod,
spend four hours each day, cursing every cow on the road.

I am celebrating technology,
myriad comforts of life,
i have all the apps in the world,
and lonely sleepless nights.

there was a day, when rains filled my heart,
a little splash in the puddle, a wild dash in the dark,
now i see a road, stinking water all around,
wondering, "was it me or my neighbor?", before putting my foot on the ground.

I am celebrating technology,
myriad comforts of life,
i have all the apps in the world,
and lonely sleepless nights.

there was a time, when pujo came around,
"Mumma, i need new clothes", i cried,
skipping from shop to shop we went,
"you look lovely", said mumma with every dress i tried,
now i go to my app,
order clothes in a haste,
Mumma knows no app,
an i have no time to waste.

I am celebrating technology,
myriad comforts of life,
i have all the apps in the world,
and lonely sleepless nights.

Once there was a day, when all the cousins met,
shouts and screams at the start,
those tears of sadness when we part,
now i have skype,
a smiley!,  to say i cry,
a voice recording for a sorry,
and two lines to hide my lie.

I am celebrating technology,
myriad comforts of life,
i have all the apps in the world,
and lonely sleepless nights,
and i wonder, "what are we celebrating?"

I Will Fight

Like little drops of rain,

that brings a sleeping sea alive,

like tiny straws of rays,

lighting up a shadowy night,

you can cut me dead,

but I’ll fight you back,

I will tear you down with all my might.

From infant sprouts of weed,

rising from an earth so old,

to heady heights of a sea,

built atop a red wood’s mould,

you can barb me blue,

but I’ll fight you back,

I’ll gag you in your own words, marked in bold.

From a faint flutter,

in a sky so white,

to the ominous black,

on a merciless night,

you can raze me bare,

but I’ll fight you back,

I will whip you to your knees, to even my right.

Like the whisks of fire,

burning down the gallant woods,

like the sands of ire,

grounding all the narcissistic hood,

you can bite me on my face,

but I’ll fight you back

I’ll rot you to dust, right where you stood.

Not like the devil presiding on moral guard,

I will not hold you with cold fear in my heart,

I will rise like the fangs of a fire so dark,

I will fight you back,

Burn you to ash, if you breach my self-regard.

Strides

Years went by in silence,
two blinded in inexplicable haze,
rest immersed in vellicate gaze,
to look back and wonder,
rue what we missed,
and cherish what we had,
all locked in memories,
ever alive in a heart so glad,

from a head so clear,
to a heart so blur,
from a friend so near,
to just friends with her,

as beautiful as it was then,
as splendid now,
as lively it shall always be,
eons beyond our final vow.

One year of joy,
to one thousand ahead,
wait with glee,
for a time my love,
when stars sparkle the night we wed.

Butterflies

Sliding sleigh of playful five,
sprinkling spines of merry hive,
through countless wings of yellow green,
a smile slips in surreal dream,
and as I fall deep into these scented skies,
my heart skips, tumbles,
to a ballet of one million butterflies.

Wreathing wisps of words dense,
tintling tunes in muddled sense,
casting spells from a frozen line,
a story unfolds in mottled mime,
and as I fall deep into these scented skies,
my heart skips, tumbles,
to a ballet of one million butterflies.

I shudder in arms of tranquil tears,
lost in joys of  foggy fears,
veering around this tipsy turf,
you hold me right through the slippery surf,
and as I fall deep into these scented skies,
my heart skips, tumbles,
to a ballet of one million butterflies.

One is for all and two is for you,
Three is for us and four read by few,
Seconds have two and three’s in a line,
add one to each to see what is mine,
cause I have fallen deep into these scented skies,
and my heart is racing, dancing
to a ballet of one million butterflies.

Rum Yum Times

with every rising sun,
and adieus of a settling day,
you come like a breeze,
cleansing a turbid clay.
in scorching heat,
and splendid rains,
you floresce with a smile,
flooded in my veins,
and I wonder,
in distant memories as a stranger so long,
you are like a hidden melody in an old song,
of beauty and strength and love and peace,
you are like a puddle of joy in these vicious seas.
and am glad, cause,
twenty four  hours seems so short,
one hundred miles just floats across,
in spinning worlds and surreal signs ,
come let’s dance to the rum yum times.
